This Privacy Policy explains what information Scenes Live ("we", "us") collects when you use sceneslive.com (the "Service"), why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

Information We Collect

Account information — your username, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) when you register.

Content you provide — videos and thumbnails you upload, your channel's avatar, banner, and background images, your about-me text, comments, poll questions/answers, private messages, and Live Room chat messages.

Usage information — things like your view/watch activity on videos, when you were last active, and basic technical data (such as IP address) used for account security, abuse prevention, and enforcing bans.

Live Rooms — if you join a Live Room, your microphone/camera audio and video is transmitted to other participants in that room in real time to make the room work. A room's host can optionally enable recording for their own stream (clearly shown as a checkbox before going live); if enabled, that recording is saved as a private draft to the host's own account, not automatically published.

How We Use Information

• To operate the Service — creating your account, displaying your channel and content, delivering messages and notifications, and running Live Rooms.
• To keep the Service safe — reviewing reports, investigating abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service. Reports are reviewed by a real moderator before any action is taken; nothing is auto-banned by a script.
• To communicate with you — account verification emails, password reset emails, and notifications about activity relevant to you (subject to your notification/privacy settings).

Your Privacy Controls

From your channel Settings, you can independently control who can see your view counts, your country, your online/last-active status, who can comment on your channel, and who can message you — each set to Everyone, Friends only, or Hidden. You can also block any other user, which cuts off comments, messages, friend requests, and Live Room access between you both in either direction.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the Service.

Third-Party Services

Some features rely on external services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• YouTube — when a YouTube video is embedded (in a comment, or as a video's source), that embed is subject to Google/YouTube's own privacy policy.
• GIPHY — the GIF search in the comment composer sends your search text to GIPHY's API to return results.
• Google reCAPTCHA — may be used on registration to help prevent automated signups.

Data Retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. Moderation records (reports, warnings, bans) are kept as needed to enforce our Terms of Service and prevent repeat abuse.

Your Rights & Account Deletion

You can reach out any time via our Contact form to request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated content.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
