Hey, Nathan, THANKS for the flyby and good morning to your end of things. It's too bad that you and your brother missed those two opening acts, but you saw the MAIN DEAL (Metallica) and that's key. Yeah, Wolfie's done well for himself and he seems to have established himself past people saying that he's Eddie's son which he always gladly be. But you know how the music industry is ... it's quite fickle, if one had to describe it. And PANTERA ... what can you say? Definitely, not the same without Dimebag but I'm sure he's happy to see that the band is still together and keeping his vibe alive. I didn't get to catch any of it, but I hope you enjoyed some of the Perseid meteor shower. Anyway, Nathan, ENJOY a great Wednesday on your end of things and whatever you may have planned. :)

Oh it isn't a news station Nathan. Not sure why you thought that, but thanks for the well wishes my friend! I honestly don't know what they'll have me doing, I haven't been told yet. I assume something involving editing, yes. The only thing I was told at the interview was that they needed new "idents" for their channel. If you don't know what I mean by "ident", it's a moving logo or graphic representing the station that appears during commercial breaks. They had asked me to design a few for them and come up with a slogan for the station. It's a start.

That's fascinating that you were once in this line of work. You must have learned a lot. Do you remember Liz aka Afrikitty from South Africa? She once told me that she was on TV in Namibia and had her own show. It was something similar to Oprah, where she would interview guests.

I hear you on your mental health. I find that surrounding myself with nature is very soothing on the mind. It helps me a lot. I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. I hate being alone. I have Anna and Shane, but I don't always get to see them as often as I would like, and Shane is struggling with depression too. I think he feels stuck in life. Yea that happens to me too! SO ANNOYING. I made Jacob aware of it but he hasn't done anything about it. Usually it doesn't happen unless someone comments on the page you are trying to comment on, right before you. But I didn't see anyone comment before you. So I dunno.

Yea Mushroomhead are a bloody good band for sure. I too love their videos, they're so creative. Graveyard Du Jour is my favourite song/video by them. Simple Survival and We Are The Truth are also good ones.

hey Nathan ;) we have real nice weather now too , last week temps climbed but its cooled off. So you like ther air fryers? My son bought me one and it works out ok. What have you cooked in yours? So, the OLYMPICS are about to unwind and PARIS hands the ceremonial flame over to the folks from LOS ANGELES who get to host the 2028 OLYMPICS. I hope, for the sake of us and everyone else reading this, that we get to see those future Olympic games unfold peaceably and in a peaceful world. I went to see this play the other night. It's called 2:22 A Ghost Story. Here's the trailer. The actors in this trailer weren't the same actors in the play that I saw, as there are multiple productions touring in various countries. Maybe it'll swing by your neck of the woods at some point. If it does, I'd recommend it. It's very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

He's a chest thumper and a flag waver for sure. I think he's sensitive about his nationality. I don't think he realizes that I'm winding him up. The angrier he gets the funnier it becomes. Never did get asked to fly the drone, not yet anyway, would have been fun. So you recharged the batteries while away? It's good to get a break from these places every now and then. Speaking of breaks, I need a night on the town SOON, otherwise I'll crack up. I'm getting cabin fever, I need to blow off some steam. Trying to get Shane to go out isn't easy these days. He's down in the dumps about being single, yet he won't put in the work to get himself a woman.

During the week I visited some cousins that I haven't seen in over 20 years. They live in a place called Kilkenny, which is an old medieval town about an hour's drive from Dublin. They're all grown up now with kids of course, but we were delighted to see one another after so long. I had a great time. What have you been up to?

Nice theme here as well! You have to give CS1 a break. It is the only one left standing after al the others failed. Love him or hate him, David charges nothing for the site, and for the most part, it has always run pretty well. ATM it is slower than Metajolt was, but it's temporary. It's just great to see so many "old" faces back there again. Once the site speed issue is adjusted, it will be like old times again.

Good morning, Nathan. Truth be told ... not too many bands. I did get to see Joe Cocker in concert and enjoy the unbridled energy he brought on stage. Way back when, I had a chance to meet John Denver, but I figured he'd be back around ... one never figured that tragedy would strike him like that. Otherwise, no one or no band that anyone would recognize or remember. Although, if I had a TIME MACHINE ... I'd pick a VAN HALEN concert to attend and enjoy EDDIE'S virtuosity. They say that COACHELLA music festival is something to bear witness to, but - in today's world - large crowds we must avoid and (sometimes) that's a sad thing. Not much happening here, my friend, but I hope a Good Thursday and a fine weekend soon unfolds for you (your brother too). By the way, this video won't play here (blocked by NBC) but it should get you back to Youtube to watch it ... some Olympic skateboarding for you. :)

Sorry to hear (no pun intended) about your hearing, Nathan. That happened to me once, at a bar in downtown Lowell. But like you said ... live BIG or go home and, in today's unpredictable world, that adage seems more apropos. The song I share is from the band. I woke up the next morning and I was like WTF? Thankfully, it cleared up and I have no residual effects. I hope the same for you ~~~ not that any of us take them for granted, but our SENSES may WORK OVERTIME (clear XTC reference) ... but they are PRICELESS. The thing I recall about that band is their lead singer pointing at me and dedicating the next song to me ... he was like I'VE BEEN WATCHING THIS GUY FOR YEARS AND I WANTED TO DEDICATE THIS NEXT SONG TO PETER BRADY ... hahahahahaha!

Glad that you kept this channel and WELCOME BACK. Yeah, I have no idea what's up with CS1 ... I think it's the accumulation of all the video uploads and photo images that might inadvertently carry compromised coding with them. Probably, just needs a good site cleaning. Anyway, glad to hear that you and your brother were able to take in the show. I'm sure all the students will soon be returning to MIZZOU.
